The Future of Work

The Future of Work

EVENT DATE

Thu, Feb 14, 2019
8:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Free Library of Philadelphia - Skyline Room
1901 Vine Street

How we work is changing faster than ever before. As technology advances it disrupts how we plan, build and move throughout our region. The Urban Land Institute (ULI) and PIDC will explore how technology like automation, A.I., robotics, precision medicine and advancement in ecommerce and logistics will impact our region and our use of industrial land. We’ll learn from the leaders driving change and explore how the market is responding. How will the future of work shape our landscape and how should we respond in order to stay competitive nationally and globally. This convening is part of a broader project to explore “The Future of Work.”

To help us start the conversation, PIDC and ULI will host an event at the Free Library of Philadelphia Skyline Room on February 14 from 8:00 AM-11:00 AM. The innovators panel, which includes PIDC’s Chief Strategy and Communications Officer Anne Nevins as moderator, will be a part of the event line-up as well as a second panel on the implications in Philadelphia. Plus, speakers from companies such as Comcast, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, University of Pennsylvania, and Liberty Property Trust will join the discussion to share their unique perspectives.
