Iroko Pharmaceuticals hosted its official grand opening ceremony at The Navy Yard to celebrate its expansion from an office suite in One Crescent Drive into its own four-story, 56,000 square foot building.  Designed by DIGSAU Architecture to achieve LEED® Gold certification, the building was built mainly using locally-sourced materials. The new, state-of-the-art headquarters, located at 150 Rouse Boulevard in The Navy Yard Corporate Center, will accommodate the company as it expects to significantly expand its workforce in 2013. Currently, Iroko employs about 60 people and plans to triple the number in the coming years.

Mayor Michael A. Nutter joined Iroko President and CEO John Vavricka and Chairman Osagie Imasogie at the ceremony on December 12, 2012.  “Iroko represents a growing presence within Philadelphia and The Navy Yard’s business landscape, and provides critical economic momentum to the region by triggering job growth at an important time,” said Mayor Nutter.  Iroko Chairman, Osagie Imasogie, noted that the new headquarters “is symbolic of the huge strides we have made as a company in five short years and demonstrates our commitment to building a strong future for our company and our local community.”

PIDC is proud to have Iroko Pharmaceuticals as a tenant in The Navy Yard and congratulates them on their success! For more information on Iroko, please visit www.iroko.com. For more information on The Navy Yard, please visit www.navyyard.org.
